Anti -Ragging Cell

1️⃣ Introduction

The Anti-Ragging Cell is constituted to maintain discipline and ensure a safe, friendly, and ragging-free environment within the college campus. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and punishable under law.

2️⃣ Objectives

  • To prevent incidents of ragging inside and outside the campus
  • To create awareness among students about anti-ragging laws
  • To encourage students to report incidents without fear
  • To take immediate and strict action against offenders

3️⃣ What Constitutes Ragging?

Ragging includes:

  • Physical or mental harassment
  • Verbal abuse or humiliation
  • Forcing juniors to perform inappropriate acts
  • Cyber ragging or online harassment
  • Any act that causes fear, shame, or embarrassment

4️⃣ Composition of the Committee

The Anti-Ragging Cell generally consists of:

  • Principal – Chairperson
  • Senior Faculty Members
  • Administrative Staff
  • Student Representatives

5️⃣ Complaint Procedure

  • Students can submit a written complaint to the Principal or Committee members.
  • Complaints may also be made verbally to any faculty member.
  • Anonymous complaints are also considered for investigation.
  • Immediate inquiry is conducted after receiving the complaint.

6️⃣ Punishment for Ragging

Depending on the severity, actions may include:

  • Warning or fine
  • Suspension from classes/hostel
  • Cancellation of admission
  • Filing of FIR as per law
