Anti -Ragging Cell
1️⃣ Introduction
The Anti-Ragging Cell is constituted to maintain discipline and ensure a safe, friendly, and ragging-free environment within the college campus. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and punishable under law.
2️⃣ Objectives
- To prevent incidents of ragging inside and outside the campus
- To create awareness among students about anti-ragging laws
- To encourage students to report incidents without fear
- To take immediate and strict action against offenders
3️⃣ What Constitutes Ragging?
Ragging includes:
- Physical or mental harassment
- Verbal abuse or humiliation
- Forcing juniors to perform inappropriate acts
- Cyber ragging or online harassment
- Any act that causes fear, shame, or embarrassment
4️⃣ Composition of the Committee
The Anti-Ragging Cell generally consists of:
- Principal – Chairperson
- Senior Faculty Members
- Administrative Staff
- Student Representatives
5️⃣ Complaint Procedure
- Students can submit a written complaint to the Principal or Committee members.
- Complaints may also be made verbally to any faculty member.
- Anonymous complaints are also considered for investigation.
- Immediate inquiry is conducted after receiving the complaint.
6️⃣ Punishment for Ragging
Depending on the severity, actions may include:
- Warning or fine
- Suspension from classes/hostel
- Cancellation of admission
- Filing of FIR as per law
